As a therapist myself, it is my nature to give, and at times find it difficult to take time for myself. I tell my clients how important self care is and the wonderous benefits of massage are endless. I then realized I must practise what I preach!
I am fairly new to the area and wondered where to start looking for a new therapist that I could feel comfortable with. I "landed" on Mark's website more than a few times, and loved his overall message. I can tell you that Mark has an amazing ability to interpret your needs, listens to you and adjusts his techniques accordingly. His energy is wonderful, uplifting and ever so healing. He is professional and at the same time carries a great sense of humor.
I am so happy to be a client of Mark's and continuing on a regular regime will keep me healthy and enable me to do the work I love.

I am an active person and over time I was noticing that I was getting a lot of pain and discomfort in my legs, knees and hip areas. I started working with Mark and he diagnosed my problem as tight IT bands. Mark makes a special effort to work these areas every time I see him for a massage which is usually every 2 weeks. I always leave there feeling great. Mark is a great massage therapist and more importantly an awesome person. I always look forward to the time I place myself literally in his hands.

I have been going to Mark every two weeks now and I have found that my stress level has dramatically decreased. I always leave with a sense of well being that will carry with me until my next appointment. Thanks Mark!
Its the best gift I can give myself! It allows me to be all I can be. It enhances my overall health and makes me very happy. Thanks Mark! Your the best!

I was referred to Mark about a year ago, after my former massage therapist moved. I'd been suffering from plantar fasciitis for a year and a half, with no relief. After one session with Mark, it was much improved, and after another it was almost gone. I haven't even thought about my left heel for months! I've lost almost 30 pounds, and although that's related to lots of healthy eating and exercise, I know that my overall health is also due to the monthly massages that Mark gives. Now, I go for relaxation (I have a stressful job) and to help with any workout- related tightness or discomfort.
I grew up having lots of informal massages, since we have two osteopathic physicians in our family, and have had much formal massage experience as an adult. So I know what I'm saying when I tell you that Mark is a genius. He responds to specific problems that I identify, but he also finds areas of tension or difficulty that had not been apparent to me. He is passionate about his work, and the resulting massage is truly wonderful. He has his own unique style, but he will also adapt to your preferences (e.g. I like silence to assist with mindfulness). His intuitive sense of what's needed is matched with technical expertise---he seems to know each and every muscle and how to help it release. Among my favorite things is his ability to connect with the whole length of the muscle and to deal with the links and interactions between different muscle groups. Those long strokes are fabulous! Everything he does is part of his approach to your whole body, not just one area.
Mark's massage room is aesthetically appealing, tranquil and lovely, and he has the best music mix I've encountered. He is impeccable and reliable in scheduling. And he is a kind, fun, sensitive and understanding person.
